Need to Find a Licensed Child Care Facility?
For assistance locating child care, visit Child Care Aware or call toll-free 877-678-2548
to request a list of child care facilities in your area.
How do you look up what has been cited or if there are complaints about a childcare provider or facility?
The Licensed Child Care Facility online information system is a tool to support families in making informed child care choices. It can be used to review the compliance history of a current or potential child care provider.
Findings
See an example search (PDF) for a licensed child care facility inspection results. Search for your facility. The results will provide a list of violations cited at the time of the survey. The findings are listed by statute, Kansas Statutes Annotated (KSA), or regulation number, Kansas Administrative Regulations (KAR).
Please note: All regulations were reviewed. Only those regulations that were found to be in noncompliance will show on the inspection results. Those regulations that were in compliance at the time of the survey will not be listed.
Correction Action Plans (CAPS)
A Corrective Action Plan or (CAP) is a tool for the provider to share with the general public how they are making efforts to meet/maintain compliance. KDHE does not use or evaluate a CAP as a means of correction. A CAP is not forwarded to surveyors across the state as it does impact their work. For example, if the provider is requested to complete a CAP due to a safe sleep violation, it is their choice to complete and submit so it may be shared with the general public.
