SBA Disaster Loan Assistance

The Small Business Administration has approved an Administrative Declaration for residents and business owners in Reno County affected by the Cottonwood Complex Wildland Fire March 5-16. In addition to Reno County, residents and businesses in the contiguous counties of Harvey, Kingman, McPherson, Pratt, Rice, Sedgwick and Stafford are also eligible to apply for low-interest SBA loans.

The deadline to apply for loan assistance in June 21, 2022.

Property Tax Relief:

According to Statute KSA 79-1613, the County Commission may issue an abatement of all or partial property taxes on dwellings where damage occurred during a natural disaster and would exceed more than 50% of the market value of the dwelling. The Appraiser’s office will determine if the damage to the property meets the requirements set by statute KSA 79-1613 and will then send the application to the Reno County Commission for approval. Driver’s License
If you have lost your Driver’s License, you will need to go to the Reno County Department of Motor Vehicles at 125 West 2nd Ave in Hutchinson and provide two proofs of identity and a proof of current residential address. For a list of acceptable documents to provide and more information, contact the Reno County Department of Motor Vehicles at 620-665-5561. You can obtain copies of utility bills as proof of address from the companies who provided your service. NOTE: Governor Laura Kelly directed State Agencies to waive fees for Kansans affected by Wildfires in Reno and Harvey Counties. 

Green Card
Go to www.uscis.gov and complete the Form I-90, application to replace a permanent resident card, and file it online or by mail. Call 800-375-5283 to check the status of your application.
